English: Mazu, also known by many other names including Tian Hou or Tian Fei in formal Chinese settings, Tin Hau in Cantonese, Thien Hau in Vietnamese, and Massō in Japanese, is a Chinese sea goddess worshipped by Chinese communities around the world but particularly on Taiwan and the islands of Fujian.
中文(繁體)‎: 媽祖是以 中國東南沿海為中心的道教海神信仰,又稱天上聖母天后天后娘娘天妃天妃娘娘湄洲娘媽等。為媽祖察、聽世情的兩大駕前護衛神,分別為左手持方天畫戟,右手舉至額前做遠視狀的千里眼(又稱金精將軍),以及左手持月眉斧頭,右手舉至側耳作聽音狀的順風耳(又稱水精將軍)。 (→媽祖)
