English: Media is the county seat of Delaware County, Pennsylvania, located about 15 miles SW of Philadelphia. The area was first settled in the 1680s with a small hamlet called Providence on Providence Road (PA 252), but not incorporated as a borough until 1850, when it was laid out and named the county seat (at the same time). There are at least 2 sites on the National Register of Historic Places, and much good mid-19th century architecture.
