English: HM Mohammed Zahir Shah (October 16, 1914 – July 23, 2007) was the last King of Afghanistan, reigning for four decades, from 1933 until he was ousted by a coup in 1973. In 2002 he was given the title "Father of the Nation" which he held until his death on July 23, 2007.
