English: The Mohawk Valley Gateway Overlook is a public pedestrian bridge in the City of Amsterdam, New York, connecting Riverlink Park on the north shore of the Mohawk River to Bridge Street on the south shore. The bridge is 30 feet wide and spans 511 feet (156 m) over the river. Construction on the bridge began in June 2014 and it was opened to the public in August 2016. It features numerous trees and flower plantings, as well as local historical and cultural information engraved into the decking and on plaques along the railings. The bridge is maintained by the City of Amsterdam and the New York State Canal Corporation.
