English: Mtavruli is an all-caps version of Mkhedruli, from which it derives with modified letter forms used for emphasis, titling, public displays, or condensed (small capitals) texts. It is used only as an alternate unicameral alphabet in modern Georgian (so there's no ternary case differences in the orthography, text semantics, and alphabetic ordering in Georgian dictionaries), but may exhibit minor differences needed in some modern technical notations. It may also be the preferred form for decorative drop-caps, or for modernizing or transliterating the typography of Asomtavruli letters used as capital letters in mediæval bicameral Khutsuri manuscripts (while preserving their original case differences) to make these texts more accessible to modern Georgian readers.
