The Rodrigues Starling (Necropsar rodericanus) is a species whose existence is based on an old travel report, a few subfossil bones.

A museum skin from Liverpool assigned to this bird (but also to the supposed relative N. leguati) was eventually identified by paleontologist Storrs Olson as albinistic specimen of the Martinique Trembler (Cinclocerthia gutturalis).
