English: The Old San Francisco Mint (also Old United States Mint, or simply Old Mint; nicknamed The Granite Lady), located at 88 5th Street, at the corner of Mission Street, in the South of Market (SoMa) neighborhood, is a building that served as the location of the San Francisco branch of the United States Mint from 1874 until 1937. The Neoclassical style building, designed by Alfred B. Mullett, is one of the few structures that survived the 1906 San Francisco earthquake and resulting fire. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1961, a California Historical Landmark in 1974, and as a San Francisco Designated Landmark in 2003.
