English: The old bath house is located on the Esplanade overlooking the East beach in the town of Cromer, Norfolk, England. The building was originally built in 1814 as a reading room. Bathing facilities were added ten years later in 1824, The seawater was pumped into large tanks so that visitors could take the water in comfort and in Private. The building was altered and extended in 1836 and became a family home. In 1867 the building was sold to the local shopkeeper and town councillor, Mr Henry Rust. In 1872 the building was sold again and became a hotel and drinking establishment. A west wing was added to the building which housed a Billard room. The bath house continued to operate as a public house up until 1999 when it was closed down. In recent years it has been renovated and is a private house.
