Panaji (Konkani: पणजी/Ponnji, pronounced [pɔɳɟĩ]; Marathi: पणजी, [pɵɳɟiː]) is the capital of the Indian state of Goa. It lies on the banks of the Mandovi estuary, in the district of North Goa.
