English: Patission Street is one of the major streets in central Athens. Its formal name is 28th of October Street, commemorating the day in 1940 that the Greek dictator Ioannis Metaxas refused the Italian dictator Mussolini's ultimatum that Greece submit to Italian control, thus starting the Greco-Italian War.
Français : Patission est l'une des principales artères du centre d'Athènes. Son nom officiel est rue du 28 octobre, en commémoration du jour de 1940 où le dictateur grec Ioannis Metaxas refusa l'ultimatum de Mussolini pour le contrôle du territoire grec, déclenchant la guerre italo-grecque.
