The Polski Fiat 126p 650 produced between 1978 and December 1984 is the second production version of the 126p. It features the same changes as did the modernized Italian Fiat 126 introduced at the same time, including a larger 652cc engine. It can be differentiated from the previous version by the fitment of many plastic rather than chrome parts, most notably the bumpers but also the rear-view mirrors, air intake grills, "126p" and engine version badging etc. Initially there were 4 variants: Standard, Special, Lux (recognizable by the movable rear side windows and stripes on the front and rear bumpers) and Komfort. A more economical 650E version was added in November 1982. There were also 650El and 650ES versions.
