Museum of Prehistoric Thira contains almost only finds from Akrotiri and its vicinity. Exception of a few objects from the isle Christiani (Christiana, about 25 km southwest of Santorini).

A smaller group of exhibited objects are the works of Early Cycladic Antiuities (Cycladic civilization), much larger then Minoan Antiquities in Cyclades of the Middle and especially Late Bronze Age. Most objects are, of course, from the time shortly before the explosion of the volcano.
