Category:Raised cycle lanes

From Wikimedia Commons, the free media repository
Jump to: navigation, search

Cycle lanes that are raised on a half-height or full height kerb above the carriageway, but are not otherwise separate from it (i.e. no width between the traffic lanes and the cycle lane, and no crash barriers or similar). Also sometimes known as Copenhagen lanes, though that can also mean Category:Kerb-separated cycle lanes.

Depending on jurisdiction, such cycle lanes may not be considered part of the road, which can have impact on whether the cyclist has priority over driveways and side roads.
