English: Ramstein Air Base is a United States Air Force base in the Kaiserslautern district in the state of Rheinland-Pfalz in Germany. It was built from 1948 to 1953, and has been headquarters of United States Air Forces in Europe (HQ USAFE) since 1973. Old names for parts of this base include Landstuhl Air Base and Ramstein-Landstuhl Air Base.
