Radiation doses received in areas with a cesium-137 deposition density of about 37 kBq/m2 were about 1.6 mSv during the first year after the Chernobyl accident, and the lifetime dose (after 70 years) was predicted to reach 6 mSv (UNSCEAR 1988)
