English: Saphan Phitthaya Sathian (also: Saphan Phityasatira) – Charoen Krung Road over Khlong Padung Krung Kasem. The former bridge on New Road (Charoen Krung Road) where it crosses Khlong Padung Krung Kasem near Siphaya was a steel-framed turnbridge called "Saphan Lek Lang" in pair with "Saphan Lek Bon" or Damrong Sathit (Saphan Damrong Sathit) on the upper reach of New Road. In the bridges survey of 1887 this bridge was reported to be in bad condition and repairs were carried out. Later, in 1895, Italian architect Mr. Carlo Allegri recommended the demolition of this bridge (together with two buildings at the foot of it) and the replacement with a new bridge. This one was in use until it was replaced by the present concrete bridge which was built in King Vajiravudh's time.
