This category pertains to the type of sesame ball that is made of a dumpling of glutinous rice paste, stuffed with a filling (often a sweet bean paste), deep fried until it puffs up, then rolled in sesame seeds.

This category does not include dumplings that are steamed (such as Kkaegyeongdan, a variety of Tteok) and confections made with sesame seeds (such as some Tamil sweets).
