English: Circa 1511, Michelangelo Buonarroti painted the creation of Adam scene on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in the affresco technique. It is located in the center of the ceiling and is surrounded by four Ignudi (nude men). Before that time, the ceiling was painted by unknown artists with other motifs (Life of Jesus etc.). It is one of the most famous pictures in the world.
