Jahrhunderts. Eine Hochburg dieser Kultur war Göttingen.
English: A Stammbuch (also Latin album amicorum) is an early form of poetry album especially popular in German-speaking countries. The first Stammbücher were written during the Reformation, when it became fashionable to collect autographs of famous reformers. In the 18th century, the Stammbuch was more of a fashion among Protestants than among Catholics. It was mainly a custom among students, up to the first decades of the 19th century. A stronghold of this culture was Göttingen.
