Ten statues of royal heraldic supporter animals, called the King's Beasts, stand on the bridge over the moat leading to the great gatehouse of Hampton Court Palace. They hold shields displaying heraldry relating to King Henry VIII and his ancestors and to his third wife Jane Seymour. The supporters are: the lion of England, the Royal dragon, the Tudor dragon, the black bull of Clarence, the yale of Beaufort, the white lion of Mortimer, the white greyhound of Richmond, the Seymour lion, the Seymour panther and the Seymour unicorn.
