English: The sculptures marking the tomb of Xiao Xiu (a Liang Dynasty prince) in Ganjiaxiang, Qixia District (near Nanjing). The ensemble includes 4 turtles carrying steles (the "ancestors" of what later became known as bixi), 2 round columns, and 2 bixie (winged lions). Presently, the site is in the front yard of Ganjiaxiang Elementary School. The early photos have been made by Victor Segalen in 1917; see "Chine. La grande statuaire", and "Les origines de la statuaire en Chine"
