English: Uirô Uri is a sogamono that covers a dramatic portion of the legend. Accompanied by his retainers and courtesans, Kudô Suketsune is enjoying the great honour of attending the shogun's duck-hunting party, when a throat medicine (uirô) pedlar approaches. Since travelling pedlars are known for their entertaining sales speeches, he is invited to present his wares to amuse the retinue. He proceeds to show off his pun-laden patter piece to great effect, but soon afterwards reveals himself as disguised Gorô, and calls on Kudô, whose retainers surround him. A friend of the Soga family warns Gorô to be patient, wait for his brother, and to lawfully declare their vendetta together. Kudô grants Gorô a pass for entering the hunting grounds, and they agree to part ways and meet later to finish the matter.
