If a |qid= was manually provided or taken from a category's main topic (P301) statement of the connected Wikidata item, it rarely happens that the Wikidata item with that qid gets deleted. In that case, mw.wikibase.getEntity(qid) will return nil and the page is added to this category.
To fix it, you need to change the |qid= or remove the category's main topic (P301) statement with the deleted qid. See this edit for an example.
