VAZ-2102 is a station wagon version of VAZ-2101. It was produced between 1971 and 1983 (1986 including the various production versions). It was eventually replaced by VAZ-2104.

Like VAZ-2101 before it, VAZ-2102 had several production versions:

• VAZ-2102 - first version, powered by a 1.2 l engine, has characteristic traits of first VAZ-2101 (bumper guards, old front indicators and no horizontal openings beneath the grill). Known in the export markets under the name Lada 1200 Combi. Produced between 1971 and 1983.
• VAZ-21021 - Powered by the 1.3 l engine from VAZ-21011. However it is externally identical to the original VAZ-2102. Known in the export markets under the name Lada 1300 Combi. Produced between 1977 and 1986.
• VAZ-21022 - Export-only model almost identical to the VAZ-2102 but made for export to countries driving on the left where like VAZ-2102 in other export markets it was sold under the Lada 1200 Combi name.
• VAZ-21023 - Export model with interior and 1.5 l engine from VAZ-2103 as well as rear window wiper and headrests from VAZ-2106. Known in the export markets under the name Lada 1500 Combi. This model was made to supplement the lack of VAZ-2103 station wagon variant. Produced between 1978 and 1986.
• VAZ-21024 - Export-only model almost identical to the VAZ-21021-02 but made for export to countries driving on the left where like VAZ-21021 in other export markets it was sold under the Lada 1300 Combi name.
• VAZ-21026 - Export-only model almost identical to the VAZ-21023 but made for export to countries driving on the left where like VAZ-21023 in other export markets it was sold under the Lada 1500 Combi name.
• VAZ-2102E - Prototype VAZ-2102 powered by electricity. Led to the development of VAZ-21029.
• VAZ-21029 - Prototype VAZ-2102 powered by electricity. Developed from VAZ-2102E.
• VAZ-2801 - Serially produced VAZ-2102 powered by electricity.
