1937-1946 cars were given the model code I and 1947 cars HIY.
Announced for the London Motor Show October 1937, the new Ten-four had Vauxhall's first monocoque hull.
Four-door 4-str saloon available in either standard or de-luxe finish.
- All steel integral body and chassis
- Independent front wheel springing
- Syncromesh, all gears helical for silence
- Hydraulic brakes
- Enclosed luggage accommodation in a roomy spare wheel compartment
- Ease of maintenance - only 12 oil-gun nipples
