Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall are respectively at 9 Empress Place, Singapore 179556, and 11 Empress Place, Singapore 179558. The older building is Victoria Theatre, which was designed by John Bennett of the Chief Engineer's Office and constructed between 1856 and 1862. It opened as the Town Hall. Victoria Concert Hall, originally called Victoria Memorial Hall, was designed by Regent Alfred John Bidwell of Swan and Maclaren and built between 1903 and 1905. The Memorial Hall was converted into a concert hall in the 1970s. The buildings closed in June 2010 for a S$148 million renovation, and reopened on . The buildings were jointly gazetted as a national monument on .
