English: The Kaibab Plateau, composed of 2 layers, en:Kaibab Limestone, above Toroweap Formation, intruded from west (oceanic) marine layers now above the continental dunefields of the en:Coconino Sandstone; total of 3 sections is about 1300 ft thick. (The first Permian layer below is the Hermit Shale; these 4 are all Permian (the Hermit is not always easily distinguishable from the Supai Group, below (also a slope-forming unit.)
