Vishnuprayag is a town near Joshimath in the state of Uttarakhand, India. It is one of the Panch Prayag pilgrimage sites marking the sangam (confluence) of rivers Alaknanda and Dhauliganga. The earliest mentions of Vishnuprayag as a Hindu tirtha is found in the Mahabharata and other Sanskrit texts such as the Vishnu Purana.
