English: Object group LXVI of the Hallwyl collection contains photographs from the travels of Wilhelmina von Hallwyl and her mother, Johanna Kempe, during the years 1870 – 1927. Sometimes they travelled with bigger parties, sometimes with smaller. A few of the photos were taken by the travellers themselves, but most were bought by local photographers – a common practise amongst 19th century travellers. There are a total of 2.364 images. 1.451 of these come from Wilhelmina von Hallwyl's own collection and 913 from her mother's.
The photographs were glued onto white cardboard and bound into 45 volumes, 25 of which contain Wilhelmina von Hallwyl's photographs and the other 20 belonged to Johanna Kempe.
