Any objections to the rename from Animal sex to Sex in animals?[edit]

Orrlingtalk 07:21, 4 February 2013 (UTC)

Why does the category need to be renamed? I think it's fine the way it is. Jarble (talk) 02:36, 7 May 2013 (UTC)
Because it's the parallel-cat of "Sex in humans" :) so it's maybe more aesthetic. and of course "Animal sex" can be a redirect. Orrlingtalk 07:55, 18 October 2013 (UTC)
Symbol oppose vote.svg Oppose"so it's maybe more aesthetic", maybe it is, maybe it is not (depends on the person you ask). Nevertheless, if that is the only reason, I just have to say NO!--Signed by User:$oliton (talk) 17:37, 30 October 2013 (UTC)
Your attitude is incivil, just saying nicely as a start cause you might not be seeing it; having said that, formatting of category names' wording is highly significant here on Wiki and we regularly strive to keep titles of sister-cats similarly formulated, hence the proposal and I hope you find this explanation now sufficient. Pictogram voting comment.svg Comment no opposition here, but I've never understood why we're calling animal reproductive activity "sex" since few species practise it other than for strictly reproductive reasons. --Pitke (talk) 10:57, 6 December 2013 (UTC)
You might have seen that the rename tag is no longer on the category page, it was removed a couple of weeks ago and it was probably justified since indeed there had been an opposition down here; I would be happy to have "Category:Sex in humans" and the animal sex category somehow aligned in the level of name format. But it's OK. ("Category:Human sex" won't work..) Orrlingtalk 11:14, 6 December 2013 (UTC)
