Since users M4RC0, Wikic, and myself (Yug) are moving towards other true lifes occupations which take us more time.
Since a great work was already done, especially in -bw.png printable images.
And since the near 1300 files of the Stroke order project are now hardly maintainable, correctable, protectable by commons's technologies.
We annouce the dissolution/demmission of the Yug-M4RC0-Wikic Team.

This means that if maintenance is need, correction is need : you will have to manage it yourself. If explanation is need, and if you want to complete the project, if you plan to upload images, we encourage you to read and use :

  1. The Tutorials of the project : to start to contribute ;
  2. The Sources of the project : to make a perfect work ;
  3. CJK stroke order page : an introduction to understand quickly the project
  4. The {{SOlicense}} : we strongly encourage you to use this harmonized license template for your uplaods of stroke order images.

We enjoyed to made this project living, to make this project as accurate and international as possible, and we now move toward new tasks ;).

Thank you[edit]

In case nobody has ever thanked you for your work, let me be the first. The pictures you have created will prove to be an invaluable resource I'm sure. I know it was exactly the kind of thing I needed.

This is a really great project. There are a lot of lame ones out there, but this one appears to actually have a real benefit to society. I imagine there are probably even some Chinese out there who would benefit from such a project, not just us non-native speakers. --70.90.250.13 19:23, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

I'll second that :) The pictures are useful on Japanese Wiktionary. I really appreciate your works. e-Goat 09:28, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

There is a whole project! I didn't knew that! Thanks so much for all your contribution. I've been using these characters for reference for a few months now. I wish I knew more, so I could help. Thanks a lot! -- Sergio Moura 200.164.157.163 11:16, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

Thanks! It greatly help those people who have no background of chinese. I am Really glad that you took this initiative to do it. TC! Keep it up!

Back ![edit]

I'm partially back on the *-order.gif project.

New 300x300 GIFs will be published. --Wikic 16:54, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

一个建议,a suggestion[edit]

用photoshop等软件做这个工作量太大了,希望开发出一个软件,拿鼠标在此软件中写一个字,然后会自动生成相应的图片或动画。

Using photoshop to do this work is too hard. Someone should develop a software. users write characters in this software by mouse, then the software can generate the corresponding pictures and animations automatically. It will be easier.

Earthly Branches[edit]

Hi people, unfortunately i have neither the tools nor the skill to produce animated gifs. But I like what you are doing. And I would like more to get within some time the stroke orders of all the animals of the Chinese year, as

兔  5154    tù,
牛       725B    niú,
狗       72D7    gǒu,
猪       732A    zhū,
猴       7334    hóu,
羊       7F8A    yáng,
虎       864E    hǔ,
蛇       86C7    shé,
馬       99AC    mǎ,
鷄       9DC4    jī,
鼠       9F20    shǔ,
龍       9F8D    lóng.

Would somebody be so nice to care for that? Thank you, and good progress!   -- 사랑 12:00, 06 Oct 2008
