Category:Bos taurus taurus

Don't see the point of this category, Bos taurus taurus is basically cattle, excluding Bos taurus indicus, which has it's own category. The former is useless since it only has 4 files, when almost all files in the category cattle fits the bill. Editor abcdef (talk) 10:34, 21 June 2015 (UTC)

Cows

No, certainly not. The cow category is meaningful, cf. Category:Cattle by age and gender. Many users (laymen) mix up "cows" and "cattle", though. So Category:Cows regularly needs "clean-up work" (sorting out heifers, bulls, calves etc.), but that's the same issue as with other terms that are used in a rather non-specific way, e.g. excavators (several other types of construction machines can often be found there, especially loaders) and flowers (you can also find Pseudanthia images in there, e.g. of Euphorbia pulcherrima, which appears botanically incorrect). --:bdk: 23:44, 10 July 2011 (UTC)
