Categories -- Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Mumbai
Hello, You removed the category "Institutes" from two photos I uploaded: Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Mumbai 02.jpg and Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Mumbai 05.jpg. I'd like to know how the category is inaccurate or inappropriate. Also, would "Institutes in Mumbai" or "Institutes in Maharashtra" work? Rohini (talk) 07:19, 19 March 2013 (UTC) [quotation end]
- Hi, yes from the photos itselves because they already are categorized by that category, i.e. as "Engineering colleges in Maharahstra". Institute, imho also for that institution, usally is used for educational institutions, i.e. universities etc.
- btw: In addition, there also was no need to categorize by "Mumbai" because that category is a 'sub-category' of "Universities and colleges in Mumbai". In general, Commons:Categories is a good help, if you have further questions, please feel free to contact Commons:Help desk :-) Regards, Roland 18:19, 19 March 2013 (UTC)
1992 in Mumbai
I've removed the category as it wasn't needed. This institute still exists, the category is for the institute in general, not for something that happened in 1992 in the institute. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 12:19, 23 March 2013 (UTC)
