Highway Route Marker Bot (talk · contribs)

Operator: Svgalbertian (talk)

Bot's tasks for which permission is being sought: This bot can edit text in SVG images, to output a sequence of similar images. It then converts the fonts used in the SVG to a path, thereby removing any necessary font support issues. Finally the bot uploads the image to Commons along with a custom description. This bot is very useful for creating highway route markers, which would otherwise be a tedious task.

  • Seek permission to generate road sign markers and other sequential SVG images.

Discussion

  • Bot uploads look OK for me. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:48, 15 September 2010 (UTC)
  • Me too. --Schlurcher (talk) 18:49, 27 September 2010 (UTC)
    • The date format should be YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM (UTC). Otherwise it looks ok.  Docu  at 18:07, 4 October 2010 (UTC)
      • No problem, the time and date I am using comes from Wikimedia, not the script. I will switch from using ~~~~~ to {{subst:VI-time}} --Svgalbertian (talk) 17:52, 6 October 2010 (UTC)

If there are no objections, we should grant bot status. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:48, 7 October 2010 (UTC)

Sure, please do.  Docu  at 16:54, 7 October 2010 (UTC)
