Discussion
- Please describe in detail which files you intend to copy. --Krd 09:21, 19 March 2018 (UTC)
- @Krd: I use imagecopy.py to search for the last 100 uploaded images at en.wiki. I review all of them and images with suitable licence, author information and source, I upload here.--√Jæ√ 09:28, 19 March 2018 (UTC)
- Please make a test run of 10 files. --Krd 09:33, 19 March 2018 (UTC)

- @Krd: can I make a test run by commonshelper?--√Jæ√ 09:37, 19 March 2018 (UTC)
- Of course, please do the test run with the tools you intend to use for the task. (No pings here, please.) --Krd 09:44, 19 March 2018 (UTC)
- Done--√Jæ√ 10:03, 19 March 2018 (UTC)
- And did you notice that there are nonexistent templates used in the file pages now, that need to be cleaned up? --Krd 10:28, 19 March 2018 (UTC)
- I will cleanup them later by my this account or my bot will upload images through MTC! or through other tools. --√Jæ√ 10:37, 19 March 2018 (UTC)
- Bot add/copy a lot of useless templates in licensing section.
- Do you try Google Images search for small resolution images without EXIF as part of review process? See File:Derrick L. Foward.jpg.
- EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:29, 19 March 2018 (UTC)
@EugeneZelenko: I don't use Google Images search for small resolution images without EXIF as part of review process. & next time I will use other tools to avoid useless templates.--√Jæ√ 15:19, 19 March 2018 (UTC)
- I have a number of concerns here, a few: imagecopy.py is a bit outdated, i wouldn't use it in production. Apart from that i highly doubt that the user is capable to operate a bot (e.g. incidents at Commons:Bots/Requests/IpernityreviewR) therefore i strongly Oppose this request for botflag. --Steinsplitter (talk) 17:17, 19 March 2018 (UTC)
- Actually, I need only a permission to run the bot. Bot works, I think, very rarely and will not cause any problems in the recent changes page.--√Jæ√ 05:16, 20 March 2018 (UTC)
- Addressing all questions/concerns raised on this request page is a prerequisite for the permission to run the bot. Please do so. Please also explain: [1] --Schlurcher (talk) 05:49, 20 March 2018 (UTC)
@Schlurcher: I used CommonsHelper for my bot to transfer files which needs oAuth authorisation. By mistake I forgot to de-authorise my bot account on my device. And when I try to transfer files from my this account it transfers by my bot's account. So, that was the reason.--√Jæ√ 06:32, 20 March 2018 (UTC)
- @Jæ, you said your bot works, but you failed to make a test edit that doesn't raise objections. At the moment I don't see how this could be approved. --Krd 08:03, 21 March 2018 (UTC)
- @Krd: I have said that next time my bot will transfer file using other tools.--√Jæ√ 09:33, 21 March 2018 (UTC)
- Please describe in detail which tools you intend to use. --Krd 10:17, 21 March 2018 (UTC)
- @Krd: please see [2]--√Jæ√ 12:30, 21 March 2018 (UTC)
- Those tools (some of them are not maintained) should be used with care and pre-review. To use them in an automated way, changes to the code are needed (huge changes, such as auto verification, copyvio scanner, etc.) and with regard to the comments you made here and on other pages i suspect you are not able to do that. By the way, users request for extended unloader right at RFR was not granted. --Steinsplitter (talk) 12:55, 21 March 2018 (UTC)
- I will review the bot's actions regularly and take care that it doesn't makes any distributive edit.--√Jæ√ 14:50, 21 March 2018 (UTC)
- I suggest to decline this request as the operator continues to show lack of technical understanding and refuses to explain his intentions in reasonable detail. Sorry. --Krd 07:12, 29 March 2018 (UTC)
- @Krd: I have explained all the tasks.--√Jæ√ 10:29, 29 March 2018 (UTC)
- Sorry. I have to agree with Krd. If you have to "review the bot's actions regularly and take care that it doesn't makes any distributive edits" then your bot is not ready to be run automatic and hidden from other users watchlists. Also, the comments by Steinsplitter have not been addressed. --Schlurcher (talk) 05:21, 30 March 2018 (UTC)
- OK, close this as declined.--√Jæ√ 09:12, 31 March 2018 (UTC)
