Discussion

The bot should insert in the existing Template CPB-Scan the additional parameter A, which was created later in all images of Category:Topographia Ducatus Stiriae. As result an additional text appears in the template box, and the categorization of images is correct following. thx K@rl (talk) 12:43, 7 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

As sample could be File:Topographia Ducatus Stiriae - Anfang-Titel 1.jpg - K@rl (talk) 14:33, 7 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please make a test run. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 15:23, 7 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The test run was made on 5 pages. --Wizzard (talk) 18:52, 7 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
From myside, the results of tests are okay. Perhaps someone can give the okay to start, thx. K@rl (talk) 11:12, 8 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Could you please use more descriptive edit summaries? --EugeneZelenko (talk) 15:21, 8 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
What do you mean with it? --K@rl (talk) 15:32, 8 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Automatic text replacement could mean anything :-) Anyway new test run looks OK. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 15:46, 9 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, of course, I made another 5 edits with updated summary. --Wizzard (talk) 18:49, 8 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
How many files you need as test, till you can give the okay? --K@rl (talk) 13:49, 9 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, do you think that I may run the bot to the remaining pages that we need to replace or I should wait for a flag? --Wizzard (talk) 16:32, 9 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
If this is the only replacement you are planning to do (the same thing on ~500 files), then yes, at this stage you can go ahead with it. Are you planning to do other kinds of more complex mass-replacement? If so, perhaps show us some other types of example so we can decide further on a bot flag. --99of9 (talk) 02:27, 10 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
This was the first request for me to help with this replacement. I really do not need a flag, just sometimes I would like to help with some replacement or another simple edits. If I could do it without a flag, it is OK. --Wizzard (talk) 09:49, 21 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Unless there are objections, I suggest we approve this for straightforward text replacements like the first job. --99of9 (talk) 10:11, 21 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
