Hi I think this image was removed because permission was not received. For some reason email went astray. I have now resent the email giving owner's permission. Do I have to upload the image again?Pamela Gardiner (talk) 12:40, 8 January 2012 (UTC)

No, there is no need to upload the image again. If the OTRS permission process is successful the image will be restored by an admin here on Commons. And yes your first email was sent to the English Wikipedia queue. Your second email was sent to the correct email address: The OTRS queue is long at the present time but it will get processed. --Captain-tucker (talk) 09:58, 10 January 2012 (UTC)
Your two tickets have been merged within the OTRS system and is in the correct queue, your original ticket is quite old so you should get a response soon. --Captain-tucker (talk) 18:59, 10 January 2012 (UTC)

I can verify that your tickets are in the OTRS system and in the correct queue. Unfortunately the OTRS permission queue backlog is quite long right now approx 65 days. Your first ticket is approx mid way in that backlog. I can see that your images were deleted here on Commons for not having valid permission. When your ticket is processed and if it is sucessful your images will be restored by an admin here. Please do not upload your images again. Thanks for your patience.--Captain-tucker (talk) 10:16, 11 January 2012 (UTC)

Still no satisfaction: Ticket#2011110710013084

Yes check.svg ResolvedCaptain-tucker (talk) 02:06, 14 January 2012 (UTC)

I have been trying to get OTRS stamps on a series of images that were uploaded in May, along with OTRS posts. I have posted on this repeatedly, and received exactly zero advice on how to move this forward. Instead, I received a series of what were essentially form letters pointing out things I had already done.

Today I received an email from yet another new person (it appears to have been sent on the 12th, I got it today). This message was once again vague on describing what the *actual problem is*. Actually it doesn't say there is any problem at all, just some suggestions. The images remain deleted.

I have no idea how to move this forward.

For those of you who might be in a position to actually do something about this, let me briefly outline the basic timeline:

- I started a series of major articles on historically important ski equipment, including the Look Nevada, Spademan, Burt and Marker bindings, Head Standard skis, and Lange boots

- I went to an online forum called EpicSki where I knew there were some amazing collections of old equipment. In particular, "Rossi Smash" (this is not a typical "handle", it is the name that appears on his ski passes) has a collection that would put any museum to shame

- Rossi and the other user forwarded me a number of images to use in the articles, using the forum software's internal email functions. At the time, they were quite excited to see their stuff go up.

- They also sent me the releases using the same function. I forwarded these. They were rejected because they couldn't be tracked back.

- I asked both for releases to be emailed to my "real world" email box, which they did. I forwarded these to OTRS.

- One of these was rejected because it was from "Rossi Smash". He re-sent it using his real name.

And that was that. The images were never tagged with the OTRS notice, there was no attempt to inform me of any problems either in my email or on my real wiki talk page. They just disappeared, and I only found out when one of the photographers complained. So then…

- in November I posted looking for help on what was wrong, and the images were restored. I re-posted the OTRS emails.

- I also posted here looking for any help on how to fix any problems. I received zero responses.

- The images were again deleted with no notice or warning.

- I get an email from OTRS saying, well, nothing.

And here we are.

Does anyone have an update on this? I haven't heard anything back from Permissions all week. Maury Markowitz (talk) 20:36, 6 January 2012 (UTC)
Sorry about that, that doesn't sound good. I hope someone can give you a follow-up on the issue. Unfortunately, I don't have the time myself at the moment, but if nobody responds in the week to come, I'll look into it next weekend. Apologies again, —Pill (talk) 19:06, 13 January 2012 (UTC)

Files File:Hip Hop 100 with Company logo.jpg and File:Hip_Hop_100.jpg

I have asked the original author for an OTRS of the following deleted files:

It was also uploaded in flickr (just for reference):

Will the images be undeleted so I could add the OTRS pending tag and the right license?--Renzoy16 (talk) 04:58, 13 January 2012 (UTC)

I have an additional question, the owner of the photos asked me this:

do I need to sign and scan in and email with signature or do I just need to type of up the letter and send. In other words, does it need to be signed?

Please advise
Also, should the letter be on the website, LLC's letter head and come from the company or should it come from me?

Please answer my questions, please. Thanks in advance.--Renzoy16 (talk) 12:11, 13 January 2012 (UTC)

Hi, it is not necessary to undelete the image right now. When the ticket is reviewed the OTRS agent can ask an undeletion or do this themselves. It is also not necessary to fysically sign the email. It is however necessary to state who you are and or represent, and we need to be able to confirm this. The easiest way is to send an email from an adres publicly know to be yours or obviously belonging to you. The email needs to come from the copyright holder of the images. But you can also forward their email yourself. Kind regards, Taketa (talk) 18:51, 13 January 2012 (UTC)

I would like permission to use image ticket #2010092010009276 (Kim Campbell)- I am unfamiliar with the OTRS notice. hopefully this works.

This ticket is the OTRS permission for File:KimCampbell.jpg. If you are looking towards reusing this content outside Wikipedia, please see Commons:Reusing content outside Wikimedia. Permission verification: Is this image free to use in an online and printed magazine?

I'm terribly sorry if I'm not supposed to post this here; I've read everything I could find and the FAQ, but I'm still confused. Yes, I'm asking for permission, but I'm asking more that I am correct in my assumption.

Thanks in advance, my apologies if this is the wrong place.

File:HU Melek.jpg and others, #2012011410007906

The permission comes from the copyright holder This would be good, because in the past we had no luck in contacting ittf to ask them, if their website permission includes unrestricted use, i.e. modification of the photos. --Martin H. (talk) 22:16, 15 January 2012 (UTC)

The email did not come from, but from the uploader himself. The uploader mentioned that the copyright notice is given in the source website and that was accepted by the volunteer who handled the ticket. --Sreejith K (talk) 11:16, 17 January 2012 (UTC)
The files are not free for modification, that was the previous conclusion on this files. An uploaders opinion on third party content should in no way result in an "OTRS permission confirmed" information on the file description... --Martin H. (talk) 19:30, 17 January 2012 (UTC)
(we however still not deleted all old ittf files such as File:Joomain.jpg following Commons:Deletion requests/Template:ITTF --Martin H. (talk) 19:32, 17 January 2012 (UTC))

Hello everyone,

I'm a teacher, living in Vienna, Austria. I'm currently working on teaching materials on portrait-art and I would like to include Grand Wood's American Gothic into this material - not without showing the actual picture. I'm not sure it's the right way if I ask here in this forum if I am allowed to do so. Basically I would like to use the picture in the handout that I'll give to my students (and also this handout will be stored in our online learning-platform). Can anyone tell me if that would be ok.

Thanks very much, Stefan Nusi (talk) 20:23, 18 January 2012 (UTC)

questionable ticket and OTRS-user

Yesterday Superzerocool (talk · contribs) added[1] alleged OTRS-ticket #6424498 to File:VictorHurtado-LaSublevacion-Sevilla1.jpg. As there is no user with this name on the OTRS lists on Commons and meta, I would like to know the validity of the ticket. Also, if this user is indeed on OTRS, you might remind your colleague to put an OTRS-volunteer tag on his empty userpage. Thanks. --Túrelio (talk) 07:17, 20 January 2012 (UTC)

User:Superzerocool does have the OTRS bit set in User rights management - I also added a note on User talk:Superzerocool pointing to this discussion.--Captain-tucker (talk) 09:29, 20 January 2012 (UTC)
Thanks. However, as this is not the first time of such a problem, new OTRS volunteers should really be advised either to put {{User OTRS}} on their talkpage or by any other means be recognizable as such. --Túrelio (talk) 10:40, 20 January 2012 (UTC)
The OTRS volunteer who handled the ticket was indeed User:Superzerocool. I am unable to read the ticket and check whether its valid since the entire ticket is in Spanish. --Sreejith K (talk) 10:53, 20 January 2012 (UTC)
Sorry I don't knew the rule to put a template in my userpage. About ticket, the user Hipalois has contacted the author of the book and he licensed around 12 pages of the book with CC-BY. Sorry for my mistake... Commons is a huge place and the warmly welcome in OTRS don't say anything related with a template in my userpage. Sorry again :( Superzerocool (talk) 13:28, 20 January 2012 (UTC)
Translating some text from the ticket:
Español: "Aquí tienes el texto: “Autorizo a publicar estas imágenes del libro La sublevación bajo la licencia libre Creative Commons CC-BY-SA”. Solo te pedimos que indiques con claridad la fuente así como un enlace URL a su sitio web."

Use of Wikipedia Images on Published Material

Yes check.svg ResolvedPill (talk) 17:07, 21 January 2012 (UTC)

Dear all,

I have a digital media agency and we are creating a facebook app that references famous people. It is editorial but funded by a brand. Having read as much as I can on here I believe that I can use images on Wikipedia as long as I reference the image in the manner specified by the owner.

This line seems to confirm this:

attribution – You must attribute the work in the manner specified by the author or licensor (but not in any way that suggests that they endorse you or your use of the work).

1) Is the above true? 2) Most images don't seem to have a specified means of attribution?

Can anyone clear this up?

I have too many images required to contact individuals directly but am happy to credit where needed if I only knew how?

Hi Jamie,
I have to say yes and no or better: depends.
If you click on an image then you get to a description page that shows under which license the picture is released. If the image is stored here at Commons, then it is released under a free license meaning that you can use them, but have to mention mostly the original author (e.g. when released under CC-BY), but that depends on the license/image. Most image description pages also have in the "license box" a link to the original text of the license text - sometimes (e.g. if released under Creative Commons) these pages explain what are you allowed (and what not) easier than here. mabdul 14:15, 6 January 2012 (UTC)

Hello. This needs a French speaker to help someone who claims to own a logo that was deleted from Commons. I used an online translator to get the gist, but I don't feel comfortable answering it with a machine translated form of French. If a French speaking OTRS agent could get it that'd be awesome. Sent an OTRS in claiming that they are the photographer, however, after a bit of research I'm not so sure. I do believe that after 7-10 days if these images don't have a more proper OTRS letter (I seriously doubt the user is the author of these photographs at this time) these could be possibly be deleted. ticket:2012011510007575 -- SarahStierch (talk) 21:02, 15 January 2012 (UTC)

Regarding Commons:Deletion requests/File:IBAF President Fraccari.jpg I have been told that the OTRS ticket is Wikipedia only and doesn't mention a license. Could someone check this? If this is true, the ticket wouldn't be sufficient to show permission. Ices2Csharp (talk) 17:19, 16 January 2012 (UTC)

The text in the email was I hereby confirm the International Baseball Federation's full permission to use the content in question, as we consider Wikipedia an important medium that serves as a valuable reference. and this came from ibaf's official email id. In most cases, such a general statement of permission would not be accepted, but it looks like the volunteer who attended the ticket felt that this is enough. --Sreejith K (talk) 11:21, 17 January 2012 (UTC)

You have access to the photorail ticket, you could address the problem. The only thing that I can suggest that these might be simple photos with {{PD-Italy}}. /Pieter Kuiper (talk) 21:05, 22 January 2012 (UTC)
As no FoP applies, I am not sure I understand why you would think that PD-Italy would be suitable if the CC BY-SA is a bust. Under what rationale would this be PD? -- (talk) 21:23, 22 January 2012 (UTC)

the claim by the user is incorrect, at least inasmuch as it refers to the ticket. it is stated in the ticket (a forwarded correspondence from 2007) that 1) all images used on wikipedia and 2) created by Mr. Paolini 3) may be used commercially and derivative works may be created (verbatim: "RINUNCIO alle clausole NON COMMERCIALE e NON DERIVATIVA relative alle mie immagini utilizzate su Wikipedia"). i fail to see where the author agrees to cc-by-sa; or are the images on somehow licensed under another cc license (couldn't find any.)? anyway, File:Tram ATAC 7031.jpg is obviously not covered by the ticket, and i'll also remove the otrs template from the category page for now. —Pill (talk) 22:09, 22 January 2012 (UTC)

Just a few words, since I have not much time for wiki projects, and frankly I'm long fed up with this kind of discussions on Commons.
Photorail is a community, owned and created by mr. Paolini. His images (and other authors too) were licensed as CC-BY-SA-NC-ND in a first agreement (most of them were so on the original website, too), then emended by dropping the NC-ND clause when WMF asked the projects to prefer free images. Yes, with "the page" we were talking about the whole archive of mr. Paolini, not just a set.
The agreement cited by Pill is the second one, there is an older one (you can find a link on a page on where all the agreements are listed). Please mind that Paolini, as allowed by the CC license, chose to have the BY clause executed by using a watermark on the image. It's in the powers of the licenser to chose the method used to display attribution, and he was very clear in his intention. According to CCs, even if the photos allow derivatives, removing the watermark is an infringement on the BY clause, thus a copyright violation.
Those images are NOT PD-Italy, since the presence of a watermark explicitly excludes the public domain after only 20 years (that's why he requested that as a mandatory clause, I guess).
If you need more info, please be specific and do not expect a quick answer. --Jollyroger (talk) 21:04, 24 January 2012 (UTC)
Sorry, restrictions along the lines of this image can be used on Commons only if the watermark is kept is not the same thing as a free release and amounts to a no derivatives constraint. Commons contributors are unlikely to respect watermarks and the consensus view is expressed by the proposed policy at Commons:Watermarks and the consensus at Commons:Deletion requests/Template:CC-Dont-Remove Watermark. If the copyright holder is not happy with this approach then the images ought to be deleted. Thanks -- (talk) 10:42, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
Besides that, Paolini cannot give any permission for images he doesn't own the copyright to, so the ticket certainly is invalid for all the images from with a different author. Prof. Professorson (talk) 10:00, 26 January 2012 (UTC)
I have now nominated for deletion the images from that were not created by Stefano Paolini. Prof. Professorson (talk) 18:31, 29 January 2012 (UTC)

Confirm ticket for images by Mark Ramelb uploaded by User:PGPirate

Can I please get someone to check the tickets on these images? This is for Contributor copyright investigations/PGPirate at The uploader, not an OTRS volunteer, added these OTRS tickets himself.--GrapedApe (talk) 03:52, 30 January 2012 (UTC) --GrapedApe (talk) 03:49, 30 January 2012 (UTC)

The OTRS ticket is valid and it came from Mark Remelb itself. The OTRS tickets were added in English Wikipedia probably by an OTRS volunteer but the source file history is not available now since the file was deleted from there. The ticket was accepted at OTRS although ideally, the OTRS volunteer should have asked Mark Remelb to change the license on flickr instead. --Sreejith K (talk) 07:11, 30 January 2012 (UTC)

Ticket:2009031910074613 is indeed connected with these two pictures but I do not think that we can keep the two files on this ground. Firstly, an exact license is nowhere refered to. I find just a rather vague reference to either CC-BY or CC-BY-SA without any version, without any link to the licenses, and without any explanations what they mean. Secondly, there is a reference to Wikipedia only and it does not become clear that the copyright holder knew exactly what a release according to CC-BY or CC-BY-SA entitles. No attempt has been made to convince the Flickr user to put this picture under a free license at Flickr. Given that neither of the two pictures in currently used, I decided to delete them. Everyone is free to recontact the Flickr user and to ask him to put this under a free license but this account appears to be inactive since 2009. --AFBorchert (talk) 10:04, 31 January 2012 (UTC)

Hoi fellow OTRS volunteers, I'd recommend to remove "please contact someone with an OTRS account" from Template:PermissionOTRS and instead only refer to this page. If someone knows someone with OTRS access, she won't need a hint to the list, and if someone doesn't know anyone with access beforehand, picking a random person from the list seems to be a particularly inefficient (and ineffective) way to get confirmation. Thoughts? (I can't change it myself anyway, the template is protected.) —Pill (talk) 21:47, 26 December 2011 (UTC)

If an individual says their wife took a photo, and that they agree to a Creative Commons Share-Alike license, is this sufficient?--William S. Saturn (talk) 20:44, 3 February 2012 (UTC)

Permission has to be from the photographer since the creative commons licenses are legally binding contracts. If the photographer does not have an email account they can sign a form granting permission and have someone else scan it and email it to To send permission via snail mail or over the phone see this page.MorganKevinJ(talk) 21:17, 3 February 2012 (UTC)
Most users will usually let that go; even one of the Wikimedia Foundation bigwigs uploaded a photo taken by a friend. So a lot of people will ignore it; but for technical and legal reasons, we really should get the signature. Like MorganKevin said, if necessary, you the uploader can even print something off and have the photographer sign it, then scan it and send it to OTRS. Own work is not correct; Buddy23Lee != John Lamonica. Is that what you wanted? Magog the Ogre (talk) 00:33, 5 February 2012 (UTC)
Thanks, Magog. I think the relevant question is whether or not John Lamonica gave permission to use the images that are marked "copyright John Lamonica". Did John Lamonica do that? Permission for File:Alliance roy03.jpg is asserted under ticket:2011090410008055 which governs images from the USA Rail Guide. My recollection is that this only concerns images taken by the site maintainer, Hikki Nagasaki, and per the image source the author is Roy Blythe. My sense is that we don't have permission for this particular image. Mackensen (talk) 13:42, 11 February 2012 (UTC)

That's what the ticket says (by strange coincidence, I'm also the agent who handled that ticket). He explicitly said that photographs by others might not be released, so I would agree that there is no permission or this image. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 02:18, 12 February 2012 (UTC)

Ticket 1407260 (File:Fay Kleinman.JPG)

I wanted to ask an OTRS person to take a look at the permission for File:Fay Kleinman.JPG. My concern is whether we have a permission only for the photograph itself (from the photographer), or whether we also have permission from the artist (Fay Kleinman) for her self-portrait which forms a prominent part of this photograph. If we don't have permission for the self-portrait also, I'm thinking this should be cropped more closely around Ms. Kleinman (and then delete the current version from file history?) to ensure that any non-free content is de minimis. Thanks, cmadler (talk) 17:33, 29 January 2012 (UTC)

Permission is only for the photograph. --Krd (talk) 17:41, 29 January 2012 (UTC)
What's the best way to handle this? Certainly it can be cropped to reduce the copyrighted content to a de minimis level (a crop just above her head cuts of most of the painting behind her and a crop just left of her elbow cuts off most of the self-portrait. But if the original contains a copyvio, how do we preserve some sort of version history to show what has been changed without preserving the copyvio in the history? cmadler (talk) 20:46, 29 January 2012 (UTC)
I was going to email Greg asking him to get a written signature from Ms. Kleinman, until I realized she's 99 or 100 years old, and that's a hugely onerous request. I wonder if anyone in the family has power of attorney who wouldn't find it so onerous. Magog the Ogre (talk) 20:44, 4 February 2012 (UTC)
Then, how best to proceed with this? cmadler (talk) 10:55, 17 February 2012 (UTC)

Could you check exactly what ticket #2010071210046496 says? It apparently covers File:Dabney-Green House.png and a lot of similar images uploaded by User:Dudemanfellabra originating from the Mississippi Department of Archives and History. There are a few later uploads by the same user (e.g. File:Lacy Homestead.jpg) and a lot of uploads by User:Woodlot (e.g. File:Suttle Building.jpg) which do not have any OTRS marking. Does the ticket give a general permission for all images from the Mississippi Department of Archives and History (so that all of the unmarked images are covered), or should the images without the OTRS ticket be deleted? --Stefan4 (talk) 20:24, 16 February 2012 (UTC)

Oh my. You wouldn't give us a nice easy one to look at would you? This is a bit complicated, and if I was the agent handling the ticket, I would have asked for clarification before confirming OTRS permission for the images. The ticket is forwarded correspondence with a representative of the Mississippi Department of Archives and History, who says that the MDAH owns the copyright for all the images on their website, but then goes on to say that some images were taken by a contractor. They also say (paraphrasing) that the images can be used provided proper attribution is given, but then that the images are "public record" (which they seem to be conflating with public domain). Explicitly mentioned in the ticket are File:Carnegie Library Meridian, Mississippi.png, File:Dial House.png, and File:Masonic Temple Meridian, Mississippi.png, but interestingly, none of those images have a license. Since none is specified (by the MDAH representative) in the OTRS ticket, and it's not clear who exactly owns the copyrights, I'm going to have to say that the ticket isn't valid. We need clarification on who the copyright holders are, and which license, if any, they're willing to grant. That said, I'd appreciate appreciate a second opinion from another experienced OTRS agent. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 21:48, 16 February 2012 (UTC)
HJM - second opinion - After reading through the email, I suggest a polite email back to MDAH and the original requester for a clearer statement in addition to the good faith attempt to originally provide a free release for some of this material. Public record ≠ Public domain, however it may well be that this particular government agency might have a policy to release material of this type or maybe they are obliged to review each image before release. I doubt there is any urgent need to delete these images from view but I suspect that MDAH would probably reply fairly quickly if emailed at the address specified at in the meantime I would consider these images as in an "OTRS pending" state and perhaps should be tagged as such. Thanks -- (talk) 22:26, 16 February 2012 (UTC)
Just a note: before finding a file with the OTRS ticket, I tagged a lot of MDAH files with {{no permission since}} (and equivalent on English Wikipedia) and for that reason, there are a lot of MDAH photos in Category:Media missing permission as of 16 February 2012. Most of the black and white photos in that category are from MDAH, and I think that it might also affect a few colour images. Shall I replace "no permission" with "OTRS pending" for the whole lot of them? --Stefan4 (talk) 22:42, 16 February 2012 (UTC)
If you could, that would be fantastic (a list of the relevant files would be even more fantastic if I could trouble you). I'll send them an email requesting clarification in the morning (unless Fae wants to do it), and the response we get (assuming we get one) should dictate what we do next with the files. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 22:56, 16 February 2012 (UTC)
Done. This means that Category:OTRS pending as of 16 February 2012 is gigantic. There are also a few files in Category:Items pending OTRS confirmation of permission which are affected by this. --Stefan4 (talk) 23:44, 16 February 2012 (UTC)

Got it. It's ticket:2012021610003477. Might be a good idea to create a template to use on the image pages, and I'll add {{permissionOTRS}} to the template. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 19:22, 20 February 2012 (UTC)

Photos of Leslie Caron

Hi. Could someone help me please? (Especially French people are very appreciated here.) It's about OTRS ticket #2012022110012546 and the associated image File:Leslie Caron lunettes.jpg. See for more background the closed OTRS ticket #2011101210012853 and the deleted image File:Leslie Caron, promotion théâtre.jpg. I'm not sure whether or not the permission is enough. Thanks in advance. Kind regards, Trijnstel (talk) 14:48, 22 February 2012 (UTC)

The attachment is the standard boilerplate CC-By-SA release (in English), which says all the right things. The trouble is that the email is from a free webmail account, so we have no way of knowing (based on that email) that they are who they say they are. They would have to provide some sort of proof, preferably by emailing from an "official" email address, before we can accept the permission. :( HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 15:08, 22 February 2012 (UTC)

File:111127-063 Anne van den Hurk-van Es.jpg

Yes check.svg Resolved

Earlier tonight I uploaded 'File:111127-063 Anne van den Hurk-van Es.jpg', to be found under category:Athletes from the Netherlands. After having finalized this, I discovered that I had made a mistake in writing out her name in the file's title. It should have been Anne van Es-van den Hurk in stead of Anne van den Hurk-van Es. Could anybody correct this mistake? Thanks in advance. Kindest regards, Piet.Wijker (talk) 21:36, 23 February 2012 (UTC)

You need COM:MOVE##How_to_rename_a_file.3F. This noticeboard is for queries relating to OTRS tickets. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 21:41, 23 February 2012 (UTC)
OK, thanks. Didn't realise this. My apologies. Piet.Wijker (talk) 00:07, 24 February 2012 (UTC)

Wikimedia is a cool site, but very confusing for those of us who are casual users. I'm trying to get permission to use a photo with the ticket# I'm not an OTRS member, whatever the heck that is. Just want to use that photo in a brochure.

Thanks ˜˜˜˜

Procedure for permission

I've been working lately on a lot of articles regarding Politics in Puerto Rico, and I wanted to know what would be the proper procedure to get a release/permission to use official pictures of local politicians (senators/representatives) taken from the official government websites (Senate of Puerto Rico and Puerto Rico House of Representatives) mostly on their respective infoboxes. I was told that similar permissions have been granted to similar cases of politicians pics taken from official government websites. Any help on how to do this will be appreciated. Thief12 (talk) 03:05, 25 February 2012 (UTC)

Anything by the US Federal Government is in the public domain. Anything by local governments is, I believe, up to the state/county/unincorporated territory/etc. If there is no blanket release of images by the Puerto Rican government, you'll have to contact them and ask if they will release the images you want under a CC-By-SA license or compatible (then forward their reply, if you're successful, to Or you can contact your elected representative and lobby them to propose a bill releasing all Puerto Rican government images. Pending since February 23

Hello, I sent permission on February 23 with the following subject line: "Pictures from Garage de l'Est, OTRS request". The permission regards this template. I also have many more mails from the copyright holder if they are necessary. Thankful for any help, Mr.choppers (talk) 16:36, 27 February 2012 (UTC)

I wouldn't worry too much after only five days—there are several hundred emails, some several weeks old, in the permissions-commons queue. If you still haven't heard anything after a fortnight, do come back and I'll dig it out for you myself. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 18:00, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
Cool, thanks. Mr.choppers (talk) 20:02, 27 February 2012 (UTC)

Hi OTRS Team! Do you have any of those email letters Sophiaabella29 talks about in here image description? User contribs --Hedwig in Washington (MAIL?) 05:09, 28 February 2012 (UTC)

Up to my search there is no such email in the permission queues. --Krd (talk) 08:49, 28 February 2012 (UTC)

File:Amy Adams (actress)-2.jpg

Yes check.svg Resolved--Captain-tucker (talk) 10:41, 10 March 2012 (UTC)

Good evening,

Someone started a DR to check what part of the picture is exactly covered by an OTRS permission.

Could you check the ticket (I guess it's a new ticket, as the file has been upload this evening, and there isn't any otrs permission tag) and report the result into Commons:Deletion requests/File:Amy Adams (actress)-2.jpg? --Dereckson (talk) 19:43, 3 March 2012 (UTC)

{{Mario_Knezovic_2-Picasa}} - 100 files - Could someone please check the OTRS template (was not added by a OTRS volunteer) and add the license template (I checked a random sample of file pages including this template and they all did not have a accompanying license template so it should be added inside that template)? Also please check that the permission is NOT restricted to Commons ("granted its usage on wikimedia commons"). I will categorize and style it then like Template:Joachim_Lutz_M1_permission. Cheers --Saibo (Δ) 17:39, 17 February 2012 (UTC)

Ticket exists, Croatian speaker required. --Krd (talk) 18:09, 17 February 2012 (UTC)

Some photos recently uploaded by me had that template but they are in fact mine (i.e. Category:St._Roch_church_in_Trpanj ) That was mistake with commonist bot that I fixed (I believe all) . Data from previous uploads remained.--Quahadi Añtó 19:16, 17 February 2012 (UTC)

So please replace the template on all files which are "Own work" by you with a valid license template. Thank you. --Saibo (Δ) 02:06, 18 February 2012 (UTC)

Hey, I sent the permission required for many photos I used about 10 days ago. I just want to see if the e-mail has been received and if it meets the requirements to grant me permission to use these photos. Note that I sent three e-mail regarding the permission, the last one contains all the approval needed by the author.

The links to these photos are found on my talk page.

Thanks in advance. J10452M (talk) 16:30, 5 March 2012 (UTC)

Your email regarding File:The Body Of Nun Marie-Sofie Zoghby After Being Shot By The Syrian Army.jpg is ticket 2012022310012391. The images from Battles of Syria in Lebanon are on ticket 2012022410006566. Your tickets are approx 15 days old, the current OTRS permissions backlog is 29 days so it will take a little while for your tickets to get processed. --Captain-tucker (talk) 11:00, 10 March 2012 (UTC)

File:Painting of Adm Verge.JPG

Who is the painter (doesn't seem like it's a self-portrait)? And who gave permission? How are we supposed to give attribution, as required by the license, if this information is missing? Prof. Professorson (talk) 17:26, 6 March 2012 (UTC)
