For the well-considered usage of this new feature. Thank you! Metalhead 09:27, 21 May 2010 (UTC)
Not done I can't see enough activity. Less than 50 edits in 2009, only one in the last month and nearly no edits at all in meta-spaces do not indicate the required activity. Sorry. abf «Cabale!» 12:52, 21 May 2010 (UTC)

I would also like to help clear the backlog of files that need renaming. I know my edit count is relatively low on Commons, but I have over 7800 edits globally. Thank you. ~NerdyScienceDude (✉ messagechanges) 23:20, 27 May 2010 (UTC)
please reapply once you have got more experience with Wikimedia Commons. Thank you, abf «Cabale!» 13:00, 3 June 2010 (UTC)

I request the filmover-right. I generally make series of photographs on a topic and hence need to rename then thereafter. Lately, I did not change twice the filename when uploading to commons with additional overhead for admins (file deletion) and me (uploading file again). Hence, the filemover bit would be handy. Thank you. Annabel (talk) 11:33, 30 May 2010 (UTC)
Not done I can't see the required activity. Making mistakes is human, sure, but it is no reason to get filemover-rights. Sorry. abf «Cabale!» 15:01, 30 May 2010 (UTC)
No problem. ;-) Annabel (talk) 05:33, 31 May 2010 (UTC)

To correct filenames. I admit not to have many edits here on commons (but more than 20.000 on de:wp), but i´m active since 2008 and won´t use the right wrong :-) SteMicha (talk) 19:26, 30 May 2010 (UTC)
Not done I can't see enogh activity here and a 3-days-block for vandalizing templates on dewiki less than a year ago. All in all, this seems not to show the required knowledge of Commons. Sorry. abf «Cabale!» 20:19, 30 May 2010 (UTC)

I'd really like to have the right to rename files (just that) because it takes so much time before the requests I make to rename the files I uploaded myself are taken into consideration. I did about 1200 edits on the Dutch wiki, over 300 on the English and a few tens on the German and French. So far I uploaded 38 files to commons and I plan to upload many more. I did about 250 edits here. All of the mentioned edits were usefull: no edit wars, no vandalism, so I hope I qualify as a trusted user. Thank you. Wikiklaas (talk) 21:03, 3 June 2010 (UTC)
Not done for now. Yes, you are right, I can't see any "edit wars" or whatsoever in your contributions, but what I can see neither is much experience with Wikimedia Commons, and that's, what we require for giving out access. Please keep doing your work and re-apply in some time. Thank you and sorry, abf «Cabale!» 11:50, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for taking notice!. Can you tell me what kind of experience you are looking for? - Wikiklaas (talk) 11:54, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
You might apply for autopatrol rights (where the requirements are lower) in the meantime. --Leyo 13:03, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for the hint but I'm not going to ask for rights that I'm not planning to use. Thought my bit of the job was to ask for the rights I'd like to have and then the moderator's bit was to check if there would be any reason why I should not be granted that particular rights. Now I only thought of the chances a user might be willing to abuse the rights (which are zero in my case) but there apparently are other concerns to be taken into account. I would, by the way, not have applied for rights to rename files if my requests for renaming some files I uploaded myself were handled somewhat quicker (two weeks is quite long in my opinion) and if the files were renamed according to the request I made, instead of some fancy name the renamer chooses himself. - Wikiklaas (talk) 21:01, 6 June 2010 (UTC)
Your first sentence does not make sense. You cannot actively use the autopatrol right. --Leyo 21:16, 6 June 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for pointing this out: English is not my native language and I may sometimes say things in an awkward way. The thing is: it doesn't matter to me whether I have autopatrol rights or not so I did not ask for it. If a moderator gets bored of patroling my edits and thinks my contributions are always of high quality (as stated in autopatrol right) then it's up to him or her to add me to that list but I'm not gonna ask for it. - Wikiklaas (talk) 00:34, 7 June 2010 (UTC)

I request the file-mover and rollback permissions, as I believe can benefit the Commons more with them. I am decently active here and becoming more so. Thank you. Jujutacular T · C 21:00, 9 June 2010 (UTC)
not done for now. I am sorry, you're on the right way, but I can't allready see enough activity and knowledge of commons. Please re-try a little later. abf «Cabale!» 16:06, 10 June 2010 (UTC)
Thank you for the consideration. Jujutacular T · C 16:06, 10 June 2010 (UTC)

Odessa novoross[edit]

Hi. I'd like to request the filemover right. I would like to fix the wrong names of the files I uploaded to commonswiki in the past. Thank you. Odessa novoross (talk) 21:09, 26 June 2010 (UTC)
Your edit count is a bit low and to be honest, I'd like to see a personal user page ;-) Meanwhile you should make use of {{rename}}! axpdeHello! 14:27, 27 June 2010 (UTC)

I'm requesting the filemover rights so that I may help out in renaming files/images if necessary. I am also active in uploading earthquake shakemaps from the USGS and could use them in the case of a misleading file name or errors. I have been editing in Commons for several months and obtain the rollback and patroller rights. Thank you. —§ stay (sic)! 05:48, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
Not done IMHO your edit count is a bit low (just about 300), how about using {{rename}} initially? Regards axpdeHello! 09:10, 1 July 2010 (UTC)

I'd like to have Filemover permissions, so that I can rename images with meaningless file names (such as this one) to have more descriptive titles. Thanks. -- Jrtayloriv (talk) 06:39, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
Not done - Far too few of edits at this time. Tiptoety talk 06:51, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
OK, no problem. Thanks for the quick response anyway. -- Jrtayloriv (talk) 07:23, 31 August 2010 (UTC)

Requesting file move rights mainly to move the files I've uploaded. That would really be helpful. Thank you. Manuae@ 12:42, 03. October 2010 (UTC)
Not done You didn't even stick to the form of a request here --> can't see enough experience with Commons. abf «Cabale!» 10:54, 3 October 2010 (UTC)

I uploaded a jpeg file to Wikimedia for use in an article I am working on. Unfortunately, the file has the wrong title. I wish to change the name of the jpeg file or remove it. I have been able to modify the description of the file but not the title. Thank you.— Preceding unsigned comment added by DavidEarlYoung (talk • contribs) --abf «Cabale!» 20:43, 3 October 2010 (UTC) (UTC)

Not done You didn't even stick to the form of a request here --> can't see enough experience with Commons. By the way, you don't need the rights for that. Simply use {{Rename}}. abf «Cabale!» 20:43, 3 October 2010 (UTC)

filemover request: To fix errors in incorrect or misleading file names that I have seen, and also to be able to fix my own uploads if need be. Thank you. Tengu800 (talk) 23:58, 5 October 2010 (UTC)
Not done sorry, but you need a little more experience (edits) before you get those rights. Please use {{rename}} to mark files for renaming. Amada44  talk to me 21:32, 6 October 2010 (UTC)

Supreme Deliciousness[edit]

Want to become a Filemover. I am a long time member at wikipedia where I have rollback and reviewer rights, am also uploading images and editing images here at wikimedia, sometimes I see images that could need a better name, so I would like to be able to move images. --Supreme Deliciousness (talk) 22:48, 19 October 2010 (UTC)

What political agenda? --Supreme Deliciousness (talk) 10:30, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
Pictogram voting comment.svg Comment I have to aggree to Foroa. At the moment it's no good idea, sorry! axpdeHello! 06:47, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
Not done Sorry, involvement in POV edit conflicts over descriptions do not bode well for a file renamer. --99of9 (talk) 09:43, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
What pov edit from me? If I do something wrong with it you can revoke it. --Supreme Deliciousness (talk) 10:30, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
If you don't recognize that your own POV was influencing your editing (before everyone accepted the proposal), then it is even more important that you not have these rights. --99of9 (talk) 10:54, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
How has my edits been "my point of view" and not the world view? My proposal at Gamla, which you supported, was there something wrong with it? --Supreme Deliciousness (talk) 14:55, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
Please accept that you won't get the filemover right. There is no need for further discussions on this page. --Leyo 14:58, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
