  • Symbol oppose vote.svg Oppose I don't think this one is representative at all of the set of French Alpine huts. I'd favor a more "traditional" look. --Eusebius (talk) 21:25, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
Pictogram voting question.svg Question What do you mean by a "traditional" look? Yann (talk) 14:27, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
Like, based on "more traditional" Alpine architecture. I don't think most Alpine huts look like this one. With such a scope I would be intuitively waiting for something more like that but it is true that altitude huts rarely have this look, so I'm a bit unsure. For you, what would make this picture representative of the scope? Additional remark, maybe this picture would be suitable for a scope about high altitude huts? However, the number of candidates would be significant. --Eusebius (talk) 15:03, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
Well, at 2,260 m, it is not really "high" altitude. The one you mentioned (Pelvoux) is at 2,704 m. I think that only the Vallot hut and a few others would qualify as "high" altitude hut in France. Pictogram voting question.svg Question Would it be suitable for Alpine huts in winter (in France or in the Alps, because actually there is very little difference between countries, France, Switzerland, Italy, Autria, etc.)?
I'm not sure. I agree that "of France" doesn't bring anything useful to the scope (but removing it also calls for quite a number of competitors). On the other hand, adding "in winter" doesn't bring much either, I think it makes the scope more like a description of the picture (and it does not address the issue of representativity). --Eusebius (talk) 16:00, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
