Exterior of the Betamax VCR (front). The concealed part at lower right on top of VCR is the TV tuner controller.
Exterior of the Betamax VCR (back). Has DIN "AV" connector and BNC "Video" connector, which may be considered less common nowadays.
Parts in the interior of the Betamax VCR (top). Main components, such as heavy-duty power source, tape mechanism and its parts (lower left), main circuit boards (right), and TV tuner buttons revealed (lower right).
Parts in the interior of the Betamax VCR (bottom): lower main circuit board (left), tape mechanism (right)
Revealing sandwiched electronic parts, photographed from top unit. Integrated circuits to reduce amount of electronic parts and to reduce the size of the earlier Beta VCRs. Improves general functionality and reliability. Reduces power consumption.
Two main circuit boards: upper part covers the lower part. Photographed from top unit.
Comment I like the idea of this set, but I think the descriptions (both captions here and file page descriptions) are inadequate in several cases (e.g. "Some mechanical parts"). If descriptions are improved, I will support this. cmadler (talk) 17:48, 23 May 2012 (UTC)
Info Notified the uploader of these photos; changed captions. Some still the same. --George Ho (talk) 22:59, 23 May 2012 (UTC)
I still feel that the captions/descriptions are not fully suffient. I do not oppose, but I would want more description in order to support. cmadler (talk) 16:57, 26 May 2012 (UTC)
Question Which descriptions and captions? --George Ho (talk) 17:01, 26 May 2012 (UTC)
Those marked "Electronic parts", "Electronic parts (#2)", and "Electronic parts (#3)". cmadler (talk) 14:01, 29 May 2012 (UTC)
The new caption "Some parts..." is little better. It now tells where, within the VCR, these parts are, but not what they are. cmadler (talk) 18:11, 29 May 2012 (UTC)
Info Uploader has updated descriptions in image pages. --George Ho (talk) 18:14, 30 May 2012 (UTC)
