U.S. Banknotes (North Africa series)

promoted to Valued image set: North Africa series

The North Africa series of U.S. Silver Certificates ($1, $5, and $10) were issued to the United States Armed Forces in Europe and North Africa during World War II. They are distinct with a bright yellow treasury seal. If the U.S. forces had been overrun in North Africa, all U.S. currency with the yellow treasury seal would have been demonetized.

Very good and interesting. Is the series complete ? --Jebulon (talk) 20:37, 19 March 2013 (UTC)
  • It is complete. While the Hawaii Overprint issued $1, $5, $10, $20, the North Africa series never issued a $20--Godot13 (talk) 11:56, 20 March 2013 (UTC)
