What is Wiki Clicks AMU?

Wiki Clicks AMU is an annual campus photography contest organised by Wiki Club AMU at Aligarh Muslim University. It invites students, faculty, and AMU community members to photograph the university campus and contribute their images to Wikimedia Commons making AMU more visible to the world through free, open knowledge.

Out of the millions of subjects covered on Wikipedia, AMU and its rich heritage remain underrepresented. Your photographs can change that. Every image uploaded adds to a growing visual record of one of South Asia's most storied universities.

It is simple, free, and open to everyone.

2026 Theme — In Between Classes

Between lectures. Between deadlines. Between conversations. There exists a quiet campus waiting to be seen.

This year's contest asks you to pause, look around, and capture what is always there but rarely noticed. Entries must fall under one of three themes:

🏛 Architecture

Heritage structures, corridors, arches, domes, doorways, shadows and textures.

🌿 Greenery

Gardens, tree-lined avenues, seasonal blooms, morning dew, nature in quiet corners.

▢ Geometry

Patterns, symmetry, repetition, reflections, leading lines and abstract compositions.

How to Enter

1	Take your photos — capture the campus under one of the three themes.
2	Create a Wikimedia Commons account — register here and enable your email.
3	Upload your photos via the contest upload page during the submission window.
4	Fill in this entry form — share your details with the organising team.
5	Categorise your image under Images from Wiki Clicks AMU 2026 to be eligible.
