Wiki Loves Earth in Kuwait 2025
Wiki Loves Earth is an international photographic competition to promote natural heritage sites around the world through Wikimedia projects (mainly Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons), and this is the Kuwait version. Everybody can participate! There are a lot of natural heritage sites in Kuwait, and the goal of Wiki Loves Earth is to encourage people to take pictures of those natural sites and to put them under a free license so that others may access them through the Internet.
The contest will take place from 11 June 2025 to 25 July 2025.

Prizes
The Jury will select up to 4 images, and the winners will participate in the international selection.
The Jury also awards national prizes:
- First place - $300
- Second place - $200
- Third place - $100
- Fourth place - $50

Why participate?
Participate in Wiki Loves Earth Kuwait and help Wikipedia document protected areas, natural monuments, and everything inside them!
Because it's fun! By photographing and sharing images of protected areas near you, you can explore more about Kuwait and learn about its immense natural heritage. It's a nice challenge to improve your photography skills, and you can, of course, win some nice prizes.
All pictures have to be uploaded from the 11th of June to the 25th of July. You can also upload images that you may have already taken in the past, for example, during one of your travels to the country, but you can upload them only during the indicated period.
Competition rules
We try to keep the competition clean and simple to participate. There are only a few rules for photos to participate in the contest in Kuwait. Let's quickly go through them.
All entries must be original photographs uploaded by their authors.
All photos must be uploaded from June 11st to July 25th 2025, to be eligible
All photos must be under a free license
Participants must have an active email account.
Photos must be of animals, plants, or general nature within Kuwait.
Captions and descriptions are required
Make sure that there are no visible watermarks
All photos must have at least 2Mpx.
