Wiki Loves Earth WALES

About the competition

Wiki Loves Earth 2026 Wales is an international photo and video contest about protected natural areas, within Wales.
Images must be licensed under free licenses, see COM:Licensing.
This year, the competition in Wales will be held throughout May and June (2026).

The event is arranged by Wikimedia UK

Prizes

The jury will consider photos of England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland in a combined judging and prize process. The prizes are:

1st Prize: £150

2nd Prize: £100

3rd Prize: £50

Highly Commended: £50 (4 prizes)

Best photo from England: £50

Best photo from Northern Ireland: £50

Best photo from Scotland: £50

Best photo from Wales: £50

Rules

The full WLE rules can be read at Wiki Loves Earth - rules. In short, each image must be:
two megapixel minimum image
taken by you
of a protected area in Wales can include flora and fauna of the area
described with details such as name of mountain / species and co-ordinates if possible
uploaded between 1 May and 30 June, 2026
