Wiki Loves Food 2026
[edit]Wiki Loves Food (WLF) is an international photo competition on Wikimedia Commons celebrating the culinary diversity of the world. After national editions in India, Macedonia, Italy and the Philippines, and the last international round in 2018, Wiki Loves Food returns in 2026 as an international competition.
The 2026 edition is organised by the Wikimedians of Albanian Language User Group (WoALUG) with the support of the CEE Hub. It builds on WoALUG's national food photography competitions (2023–2025) and expands them into an international contest run across roughly 10 participating countries and regions.
National rounds run in November 2026, and the strongest photos from each national round advance to a single international round.
Food is one of the most vivid parts of any culture. It differs from place to place yet it is also deeply similar: the act of growing, cooking and sharing a meal is something we all recognise. That is exactly what makes food such a powerful part of our shared heritage, and what unites us across borders. Wiki Loves Food invites you to document this heritage and make it freely available to everyone.
