| This year the Georgian Wikipedia and WMUG Georgia again take part in the international photo contest Wiki Loves Monuments.
You have pictures of monuments stalled in your computer since your last trip? This is a great opportunity to give them a second life in this Wiki Loves Monuments contest. In addition to being seen by everyone, your pictures could be included in Wikipedia and contribute to the preservation of Georgia's cultural and historical heritage. Freely licensed photos collected through Wiki Loves Monuments may also be reused elsewhere than in Wikipedia.
Photos may have been taken at any time. The key criteria to be eligible for the contest are that they are to be uploaded to Wikimedia Commons in September 2018... and that they have been taken by you, of course!

Wiki Loves Monuments (ქართ: ვიკის უყვარს ძეგლები) is an annual international photographic competition held during the month of September, organised worldwide by the Wikipedia community members with the help of local Wikimedia affiliates across the globe. Participants take pictures of local historical monuments and heritage sites in their region and upload them to Wikimedia Commons. The aim of event is to highlight the heritage sites of the participating countries with the goal to encourage people to capture pictures of these monuments and to put them under a free licence which can then be re-used not only in Wikipedia but everywhere by everyone.
In 2016, Georgia for the first time participated in the competition. This year, by organisation of Wikimedia Community User Group Georgia's members, Georgia is participating for the third time.
Join us contribute free-licensed photographs of cultural heritages in Georgia!
All entries must be your own work
All photos must be uploaded within September 2018, to be eligible
All photos must be licensed CC BY-SA 4.0
Participants must have an active email account, if the organizers wish to contact
Please note, that there is no yet freedom of panorama in Georgia, so you can only upload photos of monuments if the architect died before 1948, or if the building was constructed before this date (if the architect is unknown).
