This statement describes how and when Wiki Loves Monuments 2022 International Team collects, uses, and shares the information we receive from survey participants.

Please note that this survey is powered by Qualtrics, which means Qualtrics’ use of your information is governed by their Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Purpose of Survey


We appreciate your participation! Through this survey, participants/organisers of Wiki Loves Monuments 2022 can give feedback about their experience with the 2022's iteration of the contest to the international team and the national team(s) of the country(ies) in which you participated, hereinafter 'Organizers.'

What Information We Collect


This survey collects the responses you provide to the questions asked; there are two types of answers: defined responses, and free-form responses. If you choose to be contacted by the international team for follow-up or further collaborations, we may ask for your Wikimedia username and email ID (whatever is available).

Information Sharing and Disclosure


The results of this survey will be shared publicly, for the purpose of open analysis, research, and study, in the following manner. Aggregate data about the defined-response questions, and some anonymized answers to the free-form response questions, will be published at under an open license to Wikimedia Commons. Usernames and email address collected will not published on any open platform without a formal permission from the respective survey respondents. Researchers, as well as Wikimedia Chapters and Affiliates that wish to perform their own analysis, may apply for access to the raw data, subject to nondisclosure obligations.

The raw data collected may be shared with the Organizers, Wikimedia Foundation staff and contractors who need to process this information, all of whom are subject to nondisclosure obligations. The following exceptions apply. We may disclose any collected information when required by law, when we have your permission, when needed to protect our rights, privacy, safety, users, or the general public, and when necessary to enforce Wikimedia's Terms of Use or any other Wikimedia policy.

By answering the free-form response questions, you agree that we may record your answers, and agree to license them under CC0 1.0 Universal Public Domain Dedication (full text available at

By submitting your response, you understand that the information transferred to the Organizers will be collected, transferred, stored, processed, disclosed and otherwise used as described in this Privacy Statement. You also understand that the information may be transferred by us to various countries, which may have different or less stringent data protection laws than your country, in order to carry out the aforementioned purposes and objectives.

Organizers understand the importance of user privacy. For this reason, we work to protect our users from the unauthorized disclosure or use of information we maintain. The results of this survey will be retained indefinitely.
