Commonist is still needed

Commonist was the most convenient of batch uploading. It did its job. The built in uploader has many features, many additions, many extra checks but suffers from too much handholding that slows you down and trying to make you give extra information that to my mind belongs to a different parallel project. So where is Commonist now? The intobox says use ViunaUploader- that project is no longer supported either.

Same problem, I must upload files one by one since last year, so I am very very late... The Foundation should develop a similar tool as good as Commonist. Jérémy-Günther-Heinz Jähnick (talk) 09:37, 17 August 2022 (UTC)

 Comment I am reasonably sure that anyone who got Pywikibot to work will never miss Commonist again. It is not directly mentioned on Commons:Upload tools. There is only the link to Commons:Command-line upload. To me the documentation looks more complex than necessary. It really boils down to a few short scripts for common use cases. --Watchduck (quack) 10:37, 26 August 2022 (UTC)
