signing up in anticipation of getting more involved - particularly with things like age verification, and maybe things like maintaining a list of 'not safe for work', or 'not safe for school' categories... Privatemusings (talk) 22:23, 24 February 2010 (UTC)

Do you have any idea what the process is for creating a hidden category? Rather than NSFW which has a subjective value judgment, we could possibly just start tagging a hidden category "images that contain nudity" to all images sub-catted from Category:Nudity, Category:BDSM and the like...in the future maybe they'll agree to code something to do with that hidden category, maybe they won't...but at least we would have laid the groundwork for it. So first step is figuring out what's needed to add a hidden category type...and then use of a bot or something to quick-add it to the thousands of images necessary. Not all images in Category:BDSM contain nudity (not even close). AnonMoos (talk) 06:22, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
Plus "hidden category" tool is not adapted for that kind of thing. This tool means the category doesn't appear at the bottom of the file, while a protection tool should do the contrary: not showing nude/sex pictures while you're on the page of a category. The problem of that possibility is that no-one could ever be aware of the existence of these images so no-one could use it! So that's completely inappropriate. Actually Commons is not censored so the only thing we may do is adding something that could help protection softwares to include such pictures in their filters. But it's not up to Commons itself to create filters for that. --TwoWings * to talk or not to talk... 14:59, 25 February 2010 (UTC)

Erotic image?[edit]

If this project's idea of erotic is "unarousing, erection-repellent material", then the used image is well representing. It seems the color palette was changed to make the woman look dead. I suggest a twinning with a Nectophilia project. Kind regards, --SummerWithMorons (talk) 16:52, 6 June 2010 (UTC)
