Wiki Loves Folklore 2026 is an open, multimedia campaign and contest where you may participate simply by uploading original photos, videos and audio files to celebrate culture, heritage and traditions. Participation is free and simple: Anyone can take photos of local, regional, or national folk festivals, dances, music, food or clothing intrinsic to folklore.
This year, Wiki Loves Folklore 2026 also includes Feminism and Folklore 2026, a writing competition to author or expand Wikipedia articles on feminism and women biographies — in league with Wiki Loves Folklore's gender gap focus. Pilipinas Panorama Community, a truly thematic Wikimedia organization based in the National Capital Region of the Philippines, advocates diversity in all respects.
We shall be hosting a Manila "upload-a-thon" Meet-up on March 15, 2026, 11:30-15:30 GMT+8, at PPC's semi-offical conference venue, the Chamber of Commerce of the Philippine Islands, to convene our WLF participants, both in-person and online, and to upload each participant's contributions.
